Brownsburg, IN (July 10, 2018) – After a trip to the Iowa Speedway this past weekend, the Belardi Auto Racing team had a quick turnaround to get the cars ready for the bumpy and treacherous street course in Toronto, Ontario.
After yet another podium weekend for Santiago in Iowa, Urrutia is hoping to carry that momentum into the double header in Toronto and gain points on the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires championship leader.
“We are going to work on building the momentum we have and keep working hard as a team and go for 2 wins this weekend in Toronto. If we do this, then we will be right there in the championship fight!”
Heading into the Toronto double header weekend, Urrutia finds himself 3rd in the points championship 49 points out of 1st place.
Aaron Telitz weekend in Iowa did not go how he had planned it out, not getting the jump at the start forced Telitz to try and make up ground during the race but due to the closeness in competition and the extreme difficulty in passing had to settle for a 7th place finish.
Coming into the double header weekend in Toronto, Telitz really feels that he has a legitimate shot to walk away with a pair of wins.
“I always look forward to Toronto, it’s such an awesome city and the track is an extreme challenge. I’ve had a tough year but I feel like Toronto is where things start looking up for me!” – Aaron Telitz
Telitz sits 6th in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires championship 102 points out of 1st place.
