Toronto, ON, Canada – Following a short break after the double header at Road America, Belardi Auto Racing returns to Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires action on the Streets of Toronto.
Aaron Telitz will once again be joining the team and bringing his experience to series rookie Lucas Kohl, while also searching for the top step of the podium himself in the No. 4 Dallara IL-15. Telitz has had some success in Toronto scoring a pair of podiums in 2017 and 2018.
“I am so glad this deal with Belardi Auto Racing came together for Toronto. I have to thank Outlaw Energy, Motiv8 Sports Group and Slick Locks. I have finished on the podium twice in Toronto and I want to take that one step further by winning this weekend,” said Aaron Telitz.
Lucas Kohl is excited to get to Toronto to continue his development, but also to have Telitz back with the team once again and someone he can work with and learn from. Kohl understands the task at hand on the tricky 11 turn street course, but looks forward to the challenge at hand.
“I’m as always excited to be getting back behind the wheel of my No. 5 Indy Lights car. I feel like we have been improving every session that we have been on track and I look forward to continuing that this weekend. Toronto is a difficult track, but one that I have been to before and have some knowledge of and a track that I feel we can do good at,” said Lucas Kohl.
Belardi Auto Racing and its duo of drivers get the weekend in Toronto underway on July 12th with practice taking place at 10:10am. Friday, July 13th holds the first qualifying session and race, with fans able to watch race 1 on NBC Sports Gold starting at 12:45pm. The weekend wraps up on July 14th with the final qualifying session and race, with fans once again being able to watch the race live on NBC Sports Gold starting at 11:00am.
