Brownsburg, IN (September 20, 2018) – Belardi Auto Racing is ecstatic to announce their 3-driver lineup for the upcoming Chris Griffis Memorial Test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 22-23.
Marking their first outing in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires machine, Lucas Kohl and David Malukas are very anxious to get the weekend underway and get their first taste of the top rung of the ladder system Presented by Cooper Tires.
Kohl comes to the Belardi Auto Racing team fresh off of his 3rd season in the first rung of the ladder system, the USF2000 series. Kohl was able to finish 3rd in the championship in 2018 with his best finish of 2nd at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Malukas joins the team for the weekend after a successful run in the 2nd rung of the ladder, the Pro Mazda championship. Malukas wound up 4th in his rookie season, scoring a win at the Soul Red Finale at Portland International Raceway. Malukas also swept the weekend at Road America with a pair of wins.
Victor Franzoni will also be joining the Belardi Auto Racing team for the 8th annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test. Franzoni competed last year in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires championship, scoring a win at Road America in race No. 2.
